High –purity magnesium oxide
Milk fat enhancer, the best substitute for sodium bicarbonate
Rumen acidosis is a common metabolic disorder iv dairy cows. Besides immediate symptoms (milk fat depression, GIT malfunction and diarrhea), in long term, rumen acidosis may also lead to laminitis, weight loss. poor body condition scores and abscesses development on certain organs(e.g, liver). Conventional method to prevent rumen acidosis is dietary supplementation with buffering agents such as sodium bicarbonate. Farmers and dairy feed producers, however, have to pay relatively high price for sodium bicarbonate and other buffering additives. Vivan Group has produced an additive under the brand name Magnofeed (high-purity magnesium oxide) as a more efficient and cost effective way to overcome the problem.
